Job title: Driver / Warehouse Operative

Job type: Full-time
Job purpose: To carry out local delivery and collection of goods, as well as perform a variety of warehouse tasks to support the efficient operation of the business. The role requires a flexible and proactive approach to handle both driving and warehouse duties.
Key responsibilities
Driving duties
- Conduct daily local deliveries and collections of goods to customers in the local area using a company vehicle.
- Ensure all goods are loaded and unloaded safely and securely, minimizing any risk of damage.
- Complete pre-shift vehicle checks and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Adhere to all road safety regulations and company driving policies.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, acting as a friendly and professional face for the company.
Warehouse duties
- Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for delivery with a high degree of accuracy.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of incoming deliveries.
- Receive and inspect incoming stock, reporting any discrepancies or damaged items.
- Organise and maintain a tidy and safe warehouse environment.
- Conduct regular stock checks and assist with inventory management.
- Operate warehouse equipment, such as pallet trucks, safely and efficiently.
Skills, qualifications, and experience
- A full, clean UK driving license is essential.
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a warehouse role is highly desirable.
- Physically fit and capable of heavy lifting, as required for moving stock and customer deliveries.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills to effectively manage delivery schedules and warehouse tasks.
- Excellent communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude.
- A team player who is willing to assist with other ad-hoc duties as required.
